FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium — Fresh off a career-best NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series finish last weekend at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, Leander, Texas native Logan Bearden is heading back across the Atlantic for a different kind of challenge.
Instead of competing in the NASCAR Euro Series, Bearden will participate in this weekend’s historic Spa Six Hours endurance race at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Bearden will share the No. 33 DJAG Racing Ford Mustang with fellow NASCAR Euro Series competitor Gil Linster. Thomas Toffel was originally scheduled to join Bearden and Linster but will be unable to compete due to an injury.
Linster, Bearden’s teammate at Rette Jones Racing powered by Hendriks Motorsport, has also become one of his closest friends through their time competing together in Europe.
“I’m incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to compete in the Spa Six Hours,” said Bearden.
“Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most legendary and demanding racetracks in the world, and being able to race there in a historic Ford Mustang will be an experience I’ll never forget.
“Sharing the car with Gil makes the opportunity even more special. We have developed a great friendship through racing in the NASCAR Euro Series, and I know we’ll work well together. This will be a completely different type of race that will require patience, consistency and teamwork.”
Beyond their roles as teammates, Bearden and Linster have developed a close friendship through their shared experiences in Europe.
That personal connection has created a strong level of trust between the two drivers — an important ingredient in an endurance race that will require clear communication, valuable feedback and the ability to adapt throughout the six-hour event.
“Logan has become a very close friend, and I’m genuinely excited that we’ll have the opportunity to compete together in the Spa Six Hours,” said Linster. “We’ve shared a lot of experiences through the NASCAR Euro Series, and I have tremendous respect for his determination, ability and passion for racing.
“An endurance race like this requires a great deal of trust and teamwork, and I know Logan will give everything he has every time he is behind the wheel.
“We are disappointed that Thomas will not be able to join us, and we wish him a quick recovery. Logan and I will work hard to deliver a strong performance and enjoy this special experience together.”
The Spa Six Hours is one of Europe’s most celebrated historic motorsports gatherings, featuring a diverse collection of vintage endurance racing machinery.
Ford GT40s, Jaguar E-Types, Shelby Cobras, Porsche 911s and other iconic race cars will compete throughout the weekend, creating an immersive festival atmosphere in the heart of Belgium’s Ardennes forest.
The six-hour event will also present Bearden with a new motorsports discipline to tackle. Navigating traffic, preserving the equipment and adapting to changing track conditions will be critical as multiple classes compete simultaneously around the challenging 4.352-mile road course.
The historic event is sanctioned by RACB Sport, Belgium’s national motorsports authority, and conducted under FIA International Sporting Code guidelines.
Bearden returns overseas carrying momentum from his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series appearance last Friday night at the Last Great Colosseum. Driving the No. 42 T3 Vodka Chevrolet for Young’s Motorsports, Bearden earned an 18th-place finish — the best result of his career in the series.
His Bristol commitment required him to miss the opening weekend of the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series Playoffs at Autodromo di Vallelunga in Italy. Despite missing the event, Bearden remains focused on making the most of every opportunity to expand his versatility and strengthen his race craft.
“Bristol was an important weekend for me, and earning my career-best finish was a tremendous accomplishment for everyone who made that opportunity possible,” added Bearden. “Now, I’m fortunate to head back overseas and challenge myself in a completely different environment.
“Every lap I make — whether it’s in the United States or Europe — helps me become a better and more complete race car driver. This weekend is about learning, making memories and doing everything I can to help our team achieve a strong result.”
Following the Spa Six Hours, Bearden will turn his attention back to the NASCAR Euro Series and the season-ending NASCAR GP Belgium at Circuit Zolder on October 17–18.
He will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 30 Ford Mustang for Rette Jones Racing powered by Hendriks Motorsport, looking to close his international stock car racing season on a strong note.
